Superheroes

Wouldn't life be fun if we
All could Superheroes be
Walking up the side of houses
Wearing costumes with tight trousers
Choosing names like ‘Dash’ and ‘Spark’
Seeing clearly in the dark
Catching crooks, performing tasks
Looking good in fancy masks
Rushing round and being strong
Knowing that we can’t be wrong
Sliding down the deepest crater
Reappearing seconds later
I think flying would be best
In a Superhero vest
Once all hostages are free
Go home to a Hero’s tea
Then the part that’s really great  
Everyone can stay up late
Wouldn’t life be fun if we
All could Superheroes be
