Treasure Seekers...
an
adventure set in a hostile environment! Two teams are
formed, each with the same objective: to get as much
gold as they can in the shortest possible time. Can
either team succeed? Treasure Seekers demonstrates the
level of communication, general organisation and
willingness to co operate within the whole group.
Treasure Seekers:
- allows individuals to discover how they
communicate effectively with one another, and see
the impact this has on other people.
- provides a team with the opportunity to identify
how they currently work together.
- highlights the real benefits of departments
working together.
- encourages different styles of leadership, in
different situations.
- identifies how individuals interact and
influence each other.
Forest of Time...
Experience this forward thinking management game for
yourself. It starts with a very important mission...
In a village faraway, people are dying of a horrible
disease! Every minute counts as you use your time and
project management skills to save as many villagers as
possible. You must clarify your mission, seek all
relevant information, plan your strategy, utilise your
team members and deal with reactive tasks as they
occur. The team that uses its time and project
management skills most effectively will save the most
villagers and win the day!
How can I use these
games? Either game can be used as part of a training
programme, or indeed as a stand-alone session.
Are they easy to run or do we need a full
demonstration to understand them? Both games are easy to follow and have detailed
trainer guides enclosed, including suggestions for
your feedback sessions.
How many delegates do we need to play the
games? Treasure Seekers requires between 4 and 20
delegates, and Forest of Time needs at least 2
delegates and a maximum of 16 delegates.
What other key uses do they have?
- Both games
can be used as a very effective assessment tool.
- Any newly formed project
team should play Forest of Time to:
- learn more about
themselves as a team
- highlight the most
effective way to work together
- discover any
possible risks of working as a project team and
agree their most effective strategy
- Treasure Seekers can be
used as part of a fun event/conference day to
generate communication between individuals and departments
